This week I did a aging glaze in a kitchen of white cabinets and painted their island black. It was a nice change to pull the kitchen together with her new window treatments and dining furniture.
No pictures yet. I will try to post some when I return to do another cabinet being added to the room.
- Mood: Get to paint today!
- Music: New Ipod Touch!
- Weather: Gonna be a nice day!
- Health: P90X!
A simple cheesecloth finish adds tons of punch to the chair rail effect!

- Mood: Good
- Music: Watched a Bee Gees DVD today...so very good

This week I worked in a home that is pulling itself into a broader world of color...away from the white.Did a lovely Vahallan torn paper application in the gentleman's office and spiced up and toned down a painted red beadboard backing to the kitchen counter bar. The counter back had been painted a deep red, but was still too bright to blend in with the decor. A roll and a wipe of some deep, dark brown warmed it up nicely and provided some nice depth and interest.
Pictures later...they have more to do!
- Mood: I am on vacation!
- Weather: Florida...in the high 70's
- Health: Can not complain!
Here are the pics I promised from my painting project of three rooms...I only have good pics of the two, more unique, rooms.
The project went great!
Last week I put Shimmered Suede on her bathtub surround tile!
It went well!

Desire' Finish

Glazed Knockdown Finish

Close Up
- Mood: A bit tired today
- Weather: Quite a bit of snow - 27 degrees
- Health: I think I am healthy. Maybe I have a little bug though...hmmm
The holidays are over and the new year begins...and people are edging to get their visions into reality in 2008!
The last home has yet to get the cabinets completed, so I have not returned to get the pictures I promised.
Last week I completed 3 projects. The client desired a multi color faux treatment in the entry foyer, stairway and upper level hall. The dining room received a simple cheesecloth finish that is really one of my favorite effects for a soft & lovely look. The guest bath has a new Desire' finish that really provided a shee-shee look for guests to enjoy!
I will be back this week and will get pics of the completed work.
See ya soon!
Debbie
- Mood: Content
- Weather: Getting Cooler...windy
- Health: Better than many...
The room was painted a soft lavender. The client desired this plain paint to have more interest, warmth and depth. A simple cheesecloth finish accomplished all that!
